Abstract

The article explores Jesus Christ's leadership style as presented in the New Testament and its relevance for African leaders. The authors argue that the world needs leaders who meet physical, spiritual, economic, and political needs of the people, and Jesus' leadership style, characterized by compassion, love, and servant-hood, serves as a guiding principle for leaders in the church and beyond. The paper delves into Jesus' leadership characteristics, including servant-hood, love, and practicality, and compares them to traditional African leadership styles, which exhibit similar features. The article concludes that Jesus' leadership style, which focuses on service and love, is highly needed in Africa, and adopting this style could transform the continent and its people
