UNIVERSITY STUDENTS' PERSPECTIVES ON COVID-19 VACCINES: IMPLICATIONS FOR FUTURE PREPAREDNESS
Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic, which was declared by the World Health Organization in 2019, continues to impact global health and society three years later. This article explores the far-reaching consequences of the pandemic and the public health measures employed to mitigate its effects. The epicenter of the outbreak was in China, but the rapid spread of the virus necessitated worldwide response and cooperation. Various measures, such as enhanced hand hygiene, social distancing, restricted movements, and intensified screening, were implemented at both national and international levels to curb the morbidity and mortality associated with the disease. This paper examines the evolution and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, shedding light on the ongoing challenges and responses to this global crisis.
