REMOVING INCOME INEQUALITY IN DEVELOPING ASIAN NATIONS: THE LINKAGE BETWEEN GLOBALIZATION, TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION, AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
This paper examines the influence of globalization, technology adoption, and economic development on income inequality in developing Asian countries. The study utilizes panel data from 2001 to 2020 and explores the relationship between income inequality and globalization, technology adoption, GDP growth, and net national income. The empirical findings show that there exists a negative correlation between income inequality and the three independent variables, indicating that these factors contribute significantly to reducing income inequality in developing Asian countries. These results underscore the importance of formulating effective policies that prioritize globalization, technology adoption, and economic development in reducing income inequality in developing countries
