Abstract

The paper presents a simulation study using MATLAB Simulink to develop and analyze the Direct Torque Control (DTC) scheme for the control of electromagnetic torque and stator flux-linkage in a three-phase induction motor. The study utilizes the Space Vector Modulation (SVM) technique to simplify the control and analysis of the motor. The paper discusses the use of the stationary reference frame and space vector theory to develop a closed-loop DTC system. The simulation results show good transient and steady-state performance of the DTC system, offering insights into the optimization of controlling the motor's flux linkage and torque.
