CRACKING THE CODE: AN EMPIRICAL EXPLORATION OF FACTORS DRIVING E-BANKING ADOPTION IN PAKISTAN
Abstract
The modern global landscape places a profound emphasis on the economic development of nations, with the efficiency of their banking systems serving as a pivotal indicator. The vitality of an economy is intricately tied to the robustness of its banking sector, which plays an indispensable role in the intricate workings of a nation's economic machinery. This paper delves into the indispensable nature of banks in the contemporary economic framework, recognizing them as the cornerstone upon which the health and vitality of an economy rest. As a barometer of economic development, the efficiency and effectiveness of a country's banking system are paramount. Beyond serving as repositories for financial assets, banks are instrumental in facilitating transactions, fostering investment, and lubricating the wheels of economic activity. The complexities inherent in the modern economic system necessitate the presence of a well-functioning and responsive banking infrastructure. This paper aims to explore the symbiotic relationship between a nation's economic health and the soundness of its banking system. It acknowledges that, in the absence of a robust banking sector, the intricate interplay of economic variables would falter. The banking system, with its multifaceted roles in capital allocation, risk management, and financial intermediation, emerges as a linchpin in the economic development narrative. The study delves into the multifaceted nature of the banking sector, addressing its pivotal roles in not only safeguarding financial assets but also in catalyzing economic growth. By understanding the intrinsic link between a vibrant banking system and economic prosperity, policymakers, economists, and financial institutions can collaboratively chart a course towards sustainable development.
