HRM DYNAMICS: A STUDY OF PALESTINIAN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
Abstract
Higher education stands as a potent instrument for elevating the societal fabric of a nation. The true measure of a civilization rests not in its physical infrastructure or political machinery, but fundamentally in the character of its human constituents. In this context, education, particularly at the higher level, assumes the pivotal role of refining and enhancing this very character. The imperative for a reformation and transformation in higher education was emphatically underscored by the World Conference on Higher Education convened in Paris in 1998 under the auspices of UNESCO. This clarion call emphasizes the pressing need to equip society at large to surmount the multifaceted challenges of the 21st century, to propel the frontiers of knowledge, and to nurture individuals of competence, accountability, and enlightenment. These proficient specialists and professionals serve as the linchpin for the holistic advancement of a nation, be it in the realms of social progress, cultural enrichment, economic prosperity, or political maturation.
